Bella Vista / Elks Lodge
OSSINING, NY
March 6, 2015.
I should have known that demolition was near, with the removal of the
siding.
April 14, 2014 - One day after
demolition
Brick from the Hutton yard in Kingston for the
1932 addition to the house.
View southwest towards Hook Mountain.
View northwest towards Croton Point. The
building at center is one of the electrical substations
built by the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad. The
Federal-style house at lower right
possibly dates to the 1830s making it one of Ossining's oldest homes,
if not the oldest in downtown.
It too may be endangered.
