Columbia Mills is located in Minetto, NY, south of the city of Oswego. I was shown here two days before graduation by V. I had never been in Minetto before. The factory here looked like a fascinating exploration project, but I had not been inside. Adjacent to it were smaller buildings that looked like apartments for factory workers. All of which were vandalized, one of them had been reduced to its shell by a fire. The mill was demolished recently to make way for senior housing. The apartment building depicted here is currently being restored as a private home  not open to visitors. The site is no longer abandoned and has a wonderful owner who recognizes the importance of preserving such a place.
